deuteros - resurrected
A fan-made, pixel-perfect resurrection of the classic Amiga game. Programmers, artists, writers and testers welcome!

Originally created by Ian Bird.
Remade with absolute respect for the original.
"Deuteros – Resurrected" is an unofficial, but faithful pixel-for-pixel remake of the original Amiga game by Ian Bird. Every screen, system, and mechanic has been recreated exactly as it was — but with all the bugs removed(Don't worry, you'll be able to turn them back on).

No redesigns.
No rebalancing.
No reinterpretation.

Just Deuteros, exactly as you remember it — running flawlessly on modern systems.

THE PROJECT

The goal of the project is deliberately narrow and uncompromising:

  • PIXEL-FOR-PIXEL ACCURACY
Graphics, layouts, timings, and behaviour match the original precisely.

  • NO GAMEPLAY CHANGES
Mechanics, balance, progression, and pacing are untouched.
  • BUG FREE EXECUTION
All known bugs and unintended behaviours from the original have been identified and removed.
  • INVISIBLE MODERN SUPPORT
Runs reliably on modern systems without altering the original experience.

If something behaved a certain way by design, it remains unchanged.

If something behaved that way due to a bug, it has been fixed.

Nothing else.

in the works
development state
Deuteros – Resurrected is currently in active development and progressing.
We are implementing features as they would appear in the course of gameplay, and so far we have completed the Mining, Training, Research and Production screens. The shipbay is the next area to get some love.

Core systems implemented - Data storage for the whole game has been planned and implemented, along with save/load functionality.

Playable builds are available and should be relatively bug-free.
